Energy strategy and monitoring

Municipalities pay attention to sustainability when defining development goals, and the reduction of energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions through to climate neutrality are frequent objectives. They can apply not only to specific municipal plants and real estate but also to the entire municipality’s operation. However, questions arise as early as the definition of the objectives, and at the latest when concrete measures are defined, which can hardly be answered without specialist knowledge and in-depth clarification.

Example questions:

  • Which are the biggest energy consumers and greenhouse gas emitters?
  • Where can our energy efficiency be improved? Where is there potential for renewable energy sources to be used?
  • In terms of reduction potential, where should we take action first?
  • What is a realistic path to reduction? What reduction goal should we aim for?

Environmental analyses and environmental monitoring for municipalities

  • We can investigate existing levels of pollution affecting all aspects of the environment (air, noise, NIR, water and soil pollution), presenting the results in an easy-to-understand, illustrated report.
  • We can analyse a municipality’s environmental data (fuel, gas, electricity and water consumption, sewage and waste volumes, paper usage, road traffic, etc.) and use this information to calculate the environmental load of the municipal administration and/or the entire municipality.

Energy and greenhouse gas balances
We evaluate energy consumption (gas, oil, electricity) and other municipal data such as wastewater and waste volumes, mobility data, etc. and calculate the energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions of the municipal administration and the entire municipality from this and other activity data, broken down into the various polluter groups.
